tested in chrome, firefox, and safari, and they all work fine. FIREFOX, however, might have some text rendering issues in the header, and there's some kind of padding/margin issue at the top and bottom, but nothing huge. this may be fixed later! FIXED IN EDIT 2

EDIT the search module wasn't completely eradicated. it is now!

EDITx3 code updated yet again for more modifications to custom links list

EDITx4 pastebin updated for better/cleaner sidebar coding and to fix the issue of overlapping custom/nav links. AND EDITED AGAIN to be sure. if for the new code the links are too low down for your taste, ctrl+f #secondary and change the top value to match the length of your journal title.

EDITx5 7/15/14 added code to remove 'jump to modules' link, fix clipped entry height, and reposition 'top of page' link.

neopolitan rose full size code. ovurr here instructions. 1. apply one of the crisped themes, two column layout, sidebar on left. 2. go to customize css. 3. apply whichever code you wish. no need to disable modules or anything! 4. profitt???? 5. comment pages are NOT stylized. do turn them off u_u 6. don't switch the page style light/dark either, it's screws up the code. credit. please credit pastries somewhere and/or leave credit in the css!

I'm still very much in love with the last layout you shared, but this is absolutely gorgeous and classy! I LOVE the rounded icons and I especially LOVE that they aren't in the way of the entries (it's like, my favorite feature in layouts).

Hey there! Would you mind helping me a little bit?

Regardless of the positioning I choose for the sidebars and etcetera , I seem to always experience alignment issues. The part of the layout that has the entries is always smashed to one side or the other, and the journal title&link list text are never properly above one-another.

Are there certain settings I can apply to fix this? I've already turned off the layout's style sheets. And my resolution is 1366 X 768, though I'm not sure if that has any relevance at all in a fixed width layout ;) just telling you to be safe.

the layout is set for two column side bar on left should've remembered to note that lkasdf if you haven't tried that yet? i'm pretty sure it's the page layout messing with it :Ta

also, I've made a small change to the code to keep the navigation links from moving when the window resizes so you might want to download the code again o7

there is! ctrl+f to find .entry-content, and add font-size:10pt;. it's currently at 12pt so i don't recommend anything smaller than 10pt. o7

hello hello! I just wanted to say this layout is lovely and I have gleefully snagged it, but I am having a tiny problem and was wondering if I was doing something wrong ;u;

I'm using it on this journal, but when I include the links list then the links are so far to the left that they are getting partially cut off. I've double checked the style setting (2 column, sidebar on left) and anything else I can think of, but I think my coding cluelessness might be foiling me :'|

I want to thank you for this nice layout. I have some questions, though.

I want to tweak the metadata and tags part of the entry.
(1) Is it possible to make the tags to be written like metadata? In normal coding the tags is shoved more to the center compared to metadata.
(2) Is it possible to decrease the font size of the metadata and tags a bit? They're too big in my eyes. ^^;

pastebin is updated to format the metadata and modify the tags! because i forget to do those ones ljafd

to change the font sizes, ctrl+f and find .metadata { and .tag { and change the newly added font-size numbers. 8 is about the smallest you should go o7

edit WHOOPS FORGOT SOMETHING. to move the metadata and tags back to the left, change the 140 in margin: 15px 0 0 140px; of both .metadata and .tag to as small a number as you want P: just not less than 0.

Hi! I love the layout but I'm currently have a problem where my Title and Subtitle and the Navigation body links are overlapping?

Specifically the Subtitle and the navigation. Do you know how to put either more padding or lower the navigation body just a bit more so they won't overlap anymore?

thaaat would probably be due to the journal title being long-- easy fix! find .module-navlinks and change margin-top to 140-150px, or more if you'd like more space.

Hi! I think this is a lovely layout. I plan to use it with credit on my profile page. :) I just have a quick question about the sidebar. Here's a screencap of the problem I'm having; the title and subtitle seem to be too high up on the left column compared to your screencap posted above. Is there something I've done wrong in installing it perhaps, or is there a code I could put in to fix it?

did you make sure 'use layout stylesheet' is unchecked? not sure if that would cause/resolve the issue but if it does then that's done.

otherwise you can consult this comment-- basically finding #primary and adding margin-top:32px; between the brackets. it seems to only happen in firefox (i'm viewing your journal in chrome and it looks fine) so i'll have to look over the code and see if i can fix it universally at some point

not a problem! just go into organize > manage account > pick the community you'll be using the layout in from the dropdown list, and then untick the ticky boxes as shown in this image.

Love this layout, but I'm having a little bit of trouble. There's a link that says 'Modules' right under the journal title and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. It's not there on the preview that you posted, so I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be there. Is there something I have to disable?

it's a new feature, apparently! makes it easier for mobile/tablet users to find the modules at the bottom of the page.

i've updated the pastebin with a few things, including a code to remove this module link since the modules in this style aren't, y'know, at the bottom of the page. just copy/paste the updated code (i put a date on it..!) and you're good to go!
